Broadbent Cloud Desktop v1.0.1 is now available to download for macOS and Linux.
It backs up selected folders on this computer to a Broadbent Cloud drive. Sign in with the same email and password as the customer portal, including the free 1 GB plan. Closing the window leaves the app in the menu bar or system tray.
What it does
- Back up folders on this computer to a folder on the drive. Add more than one, and run them together.
- Back up now, or on a schedule. Files that have not changed are skipped.
- See the quota on each drive before a backup starts, and change the plan from the app.
- Open the same files in Broadbent Drive in the browser.
Drive owners back up through the S3 gateway. A team member with write access backs up over WebDAV into the folder they were granted. Read-only access can see the drive, and cannot start a backup.
